Veteran Outings

At TIO, we love all things outdoors and hunting season just might be our favorite season(s) of the year. We also have a deep appreciation for our nation’s heroes, the ones who dedicated themselves to serving and protecting us so we can enjoy all our favorite activities. This combination led to our hunts. We’ve found that many of our veterans believed that they could no longer participate in these activities due to their disabilities. With support from our many incredible donors, we are able to get them back outdoors doing the things they (and we) love to do. So far, we’ve been able to take our veterans out on deer, turkey, pheasant, archery antelope hunts, prairie dog shoots and camping with plans to add more activities soon!

TIO takes a group of veterans on a private annual deer hunt at Honey Creek State Park.

In the spring, we’ve had the immense pleasure to help our veterans harvest some beautiful wild turkeys.

Doc’s Hunting Club in Adel, Iowa hosts us yearly for our annual pheasant hunts.
